HTCIA-SD Treasurer)
Gerry Brown, CISSP, has 30 years of security engineering experience. Mr Brown wrote the Encrypt command in Mac OS 9, and co-authored the white paper that defines the internal security architecture of Mac OS X. As an engineer at Liberate, he was in charge of Client Side Security including a proprietary SSL implementation. Currently Mr. Brown is consulting and his clients have included local companies such as Qualcomm and Teradata.

Mr. Jacobs, a Senior Information Assurance Engineer at JTT, provides computer network security configuration services for government users. He also provides computer network incident response services, security evaluation and vulnerability assessments, and intrusion detection and on-site penetration testing.

TOPIC: A key focus area for the Cyber Security community is protecting Wireless Internet ("Wi-Fi") networks from attack and data theft. Our February presentation will describe the functionality and weaknesses of Wi-Fi systems.
